A technique used for cancer, ALA-BLU-U/IPL-PDT- therapy dubbed “The South Beach Peel” is Dr. Escobedo’s top treatments for acne removal. By applying ALA to the skin, heavily engorged oil gland cells (one of the prime causes of acne) are made light sensitive. The application of light to these photo-sensitive cells causes their destruction along with acne causing bacteria.
