Most people who are looking to fix small deformities in their nose often go under the knife as part of a costly rhinoplasty surgery. However, there’s an easier option: liquid rhinoplasty. Using Radiesse, our liquid rhinoplasty services offer a safe, effective, and minimally invasive option for those who are looking for a non surgical nose job procedure.
How does liquid rhinoplasty compare to traditional rhinoplasty surgery?
A liquid rhinoplasty, often known as liquid nose job, is a non surgical procedure that involves a simple injection with a dermal filler. After a quick application, the patient will benefit from a more aesthetically pleasing appearance without having to go under the knife.
Rhinoplasty is often referred as a nose job and is done to correct any structural defects in the nose. Compared to a simple injection, the procedure often includes full surgery that reshapes the nose to correct any breathing problems or provide a more pleasurable look.
However, rhinoplasty often requires long recovery times, often up to a year. If you’re looking to improve your nose for beauty reasons it’s highly recommended that you go for a liquid nose job instead. For this procedure, Dr. Escobedo uses Radiesse which has a high G prime rating compared to other dermal fillers.
What is G prime?
G prime is a rating given to fillers that’s based on the stiffness of the product using a rheometer. This measures the ability of the substance to hold their shape when acted upon by other forces.
For example, Radiesse has a G prime of over 1400 while Juvederm Ultra XC has a G prime of 28, and Restylane has a G prime of 565. Substances with higher G prime levels are firmer, lift tissue better, and offer more contour. Fillers with lower G primes are softer, move with your tissue, and spread more evenly to retain their shape.
The reason why there are different G prime levels depends on the location where the dermal filler will be injected. If it’s in a smile line a firmer product will be used, but if it’s along the lid of an eye a lower G prime will be better suited.
Are there any side effects?
All patients who are interested in the procedure are provided consent forms and educated on any adverse effects that can occur. These effects can include bruising, swelling, discomfort, asymmetry, and the need for additional touch ups in the future.
Due to the fact that facial blood vessels around the nose connect to the eye, there is a chance that blindness might occur if performed incorrectly. It’s important to go with a skilled physician to avoid any potential risk and to ensure that the procedure is done correctly.
By going with someone who understands the anatomy correctly, like Dr. Escobedo, you’re able to avoid any accidental injections into nerves or blood vessels.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure takes less than 15 minutes to perform. It’s a quick alternative to rhinoplasty surgery which often takes around one or two hours to complete and requires recovery after.
What is the cost of the Radiesse nose job procedure?
The cost for the procedure is $549 and includes touch-ups for up to 12 months.
Every procedure starts with a consultation. Our consultation includes a meeting with Dr. Michael Escobedo where he will provide more information about our liquid nose job procedure. We do charge a $65 fee for the consultation, however, if you decide to proceed with the procedure, the consultation fee will be deducted from the cost of the procedure.
How long do the effects of the procedure last?
A liquid nose job can last for up to two years.
