No Downtime Cosmetic Treatments 2018 Austin, Texas
It is incredible that we are in the middle of 2018. Patient’s continued favorite non-invasive cosmetic treatments are Dysport & Botox, Radiesse, Revanesse, Restylane, Juvederm, IPL Photofacials, and Thread Lift Sutures. Most of these provide instant gratification with very little downtime. In most cases, people enter the office and within a few minutes, continue on their day as if they stopped in to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
Both male and female clients visiting Escobedo Esthetics request correction of the same issues. The number one requested treatment is the softening of the frown lines and crow’s feet. The second requested treatment is improvement of smile lines and dark circles under the eyes. The third requested areas of correction are the jowls and marionette lines.
All of these concerns are safely addressed during a single session, but if time permits, we prefer to break them into two separate appointments.
How do I soften frown lines and crow’s feet?
Botox and Dysport are used to relax the frown lines and crow’s feet. A tiny needle is used to inject medication into the muscles between and around the eyes. Within a few days, the muscle tension is reduced and the frown lines and crow’s feet soften in appearance. It is a good idea to schedule a touch-up treatment in 4-6 months to prolong the effects. Patients with a history of forehead acne and tension headaches report improvements in both after therapy with Botox and Dysport.
What do you recommend for treating smile lines and dark circles under my eyes?
Thread Lift Sutures are used to tighten saggy skin that causes smile lines. Thread Lift Sutures are inserted close to the cheek bone and anchored to the smile lines, marionette lines, and jowls. Thread Lift Sutures reposition skin leading to an overall natural and more youthful appearance. Over time, Thread Lift Sutures dissolve into water and carbon dioxide, but not before they stimulate more collagen and elastin production. Unlike the use of large volumes of Restylane, Juvederm, or Radiesse, Thread Lift Sutures do not cause an inflated or un-natural result.
Interestingly, the skin under the eyes is also tightened and repositioned with the use of Thread Lift Sutures to improve the appearance of smile lines. The end result is a two-for-one improvement with the use of a tiny dissolvable thread.
At times, it is necessary to use Radiesse, Juvederm, Restylane, and/or Revanesse to further re-flate the fat pads under the eyes and along the smile lines. The beauty of using less cosmetic dermal fillers is a more natural less inflated result.
What can I do to improve the appearance of my jowls and marionette lines?
In general, jowls and marionette lines are the results of three processes of aging. The first is the loss of skin elasticity and collagen. The second is the loss of fat pads and supporting ligaments. The third is the resorption of bone. In order to properly address each of these issues, we first use thread lift sutures to reposition skin to a more youthful and natural appearance. Next, we re-evaluate the areas of bone and fat loss. Using a combination of injection techniques, deep and superficial fat pads are re-inflated. Bone contours are recreated using Radiesse which stimulates further bone production when injected within bone. The final result is total rejuvenation of the mid and lower face using non-surgical advanced techniques.
What can I do to improve the appearance of brown spots, enlarged pores, fine lines, and uneven skin tone?
Clients seeking to improve the appearance of brown spots, enlarged pores, fine lines and uneven skin tone are prescribed skin care products including the newest formulation of Escobedo Lightening Cream which contains upwards of 13 ingredients that improve the appearance of abnormal pigmentation. In addition, we recommend a combination approach using IPL Laser Photofacial Treatments and Dermapen Microneedling (Collagen PIN).
IPL Photofacial uses a broad-spectrum light which targets abnormal pigmentation, broken blood vessels, enlarges pores, unwanted facial hair and fine lines. The Dermapen Microneedling device (Collagen PIN) incorporates the use of 36 tiny needles to penetrate the skin at different depths to improve the appearance of abnormal pigmentation, fine lines, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, and acne scars. The Collagen PIN is capable of reaching deep dermal pigmentation without causing additional pigmentation as a side effect.
